'Junk' DNA mystery solved: It's not needed
Sun May 12, 2013
Jeez, people, think back, way back, about 4 1/2 million years.
Woman who survived 16 days in collapsed building: 'Never dreamed I'd see the daylight'
Fri May 10, 2013
Something's not right. When the World Trade Center collapsed, people blocks away were covered in dust. She's just too clean. Any water that seeped down into the basement, would have been like watery concrete. I'm suspecting fraud, if not, it's time we all start going to the Mosque.
Missing Kansas tot now presumed dead, suspect in custody
Thu May 9, 2013
Our justice system is flawed. In the 1970's, an Alpha Brain Wave Monitor was invented, that absolutely, 100%, could detect a person telling a lie. It was deemed unconstitutional because, even though they swore to tell the truth, it violated freedom of speech, to lie.
Air conditioners banned as Pakistan prepares for sweltering summer
Thu May 9, 2013
It wasn't that long ago, that air-conditioning was a luxury, in the United States. How long ago, did Pakistan air-condition their government offices? What a bunch of crybabies.
Missouri mom killed when party bus doors fly open
Mon May 6, 2013
I agree, emergency doors don't help if they can't be opened easily. They should have rented a stretch limo instead. Maybe not. Drunk driving is now well legislated. How about drunk riding? It seems to be just as deadly. And, if you survive the night, you feel like crap in the morning.
Three types of butterflies native to south Florida have gone extinct
Mon Apr 29, 2013
"After six years of searching, an entomologist has concluded that three varieties of butterflies native to south Florida have become extinct." "Nothing last's forever," but for now, I want his job. Looking for nothing, and getting paid for it, for six years.
Here's a first: Fish using sign language
Mon Apr 29, 2013
I also have questions. Do the predators share the prey? If not, why would one species help another, and get nothing for their efforts? The article implies, one species intentionally helps another.
How earthquakes in Chile have permanently deformed Earth
Sun Apr 28, 2013
I'm no geologist, but I'm guessing that if an earthquake fractures the crust, all the way through to the mantle, the fault will be permanent. If it's only a partial break, it will return to it's original form.
Physicist argues, controversially, that time is real
Fri Apr 26, 2013
Time is a tool, created by humans, for humans to put things in perspective. Nothing else in the known Universe uses time. Everything is "cause and effect." It's as real as any other tool, created by human beings, and can it can be manipulated or made to fit the job or solve the problem.
3 Doors Down bassist charged in fatal crash in Tennessee
Sun Apr 21, 2013
Late Friday night. The article didn't mention whether the dead driver was intoxicated as well. That would be two drunks off the road. Good job, no innocents. A 47 year old, not wearing his seatbelt, is what killed him.
